Shaft Couplings

In the MISUMI e-catalog, various couplings and shaft fittings such as disk type, Oldham type, slit type, high damping capacity rubber type, jaw type, rigid type, bellows type, link type and universal joint type
can be selected. Also, it is possible to change the key grooving, key groove specifications, and shaft hole standard of the coupling and shaft fitting according to the motor shaft.

[What are couplings and shaft couplings?]
A coupling is a component intended to connect two different rotating bodies (motor, ball screw, etc.) and transmit torque.
It reduces the assembly adjustment load by absorbing the misalignment (eccentricity/declination/end play) that occurs between rotating bodies.
Furthermore, when an unexpected overload is applied, the coupling breaks and the connection between the rotating bodies is released, thereby protecting the expensive power section and the entire apparatus.
